At Little-Persia we’re often asked about rugs people already own – where they come from, how old they are, and whether they’re handmade. We’re happy to share our knowledge and help you better understand your piece.

Complimentary Rug Identification

If you’re simply curious, we can usually advise whether your rug is handmade or machine-made, its likely country or region of origin, and an approximate age. This complimentary service is a friendly guide, not a formal valuation.

Please note: we do not provide valuations for resale. If you wish to sell privately and are looking for a quick sale, local or national auctioneers are usually the best route for advice on likely hammer prices and current buyer demand.

Formal Insurance Valuations

When a precise, documented figure is required for insurance or a damage claim, we offer a detailed written valuation that is suitable for replacement cover.
