As a family run business we treat every rug that comes through our door like it's our own. We focus solely on handmade Persian & Oriental rugs, giving you the peace of mind that your rug will be given the level of care and attention it deserves.
Each year we use traditional methods to clean & restore hundreds of rugs for private clients, rug dealers, hotels and restaurants (as well as the occasional museum) in addition to carrying out both repair and cleaning services for insurance companies and claims. We can collect from and deliver to door-steps throughout the UK.
Decades of experience working with handmade carpets allow us to give you industry leading advice on the level and intensity of cleaning your rug should go through; some older or more fragile rugs cannot withstand the same processes that fresher, harder-wearing carpets can therefore each rug's cleaning and restoration journey is tailored to its own specific needs.

The benefits of using our specialist cleaning system over a company that clean rugs and carpets in the home are many. Firstly, and most importantly, the steps we take to remove ingrained dirt and dust before cleaning is actually one of the most important steps in the entire rug cleaning process, and is completely overlooked by most.
Without proper dusting, the best that can be achieved is a surface wash. Of course when having your Persian or Oriental rug cleaned it is important for the rug to look fresher, however, the long term health of the rug has got to be the top priority. It is this fine dust and dirt that wears away at the foundation of the carpet, damaging the fibres of the foundation over time. Without removing this, the rug is not truly clean and the lasting benefits to its lifespan are not gained. Also, if the dust and dirt are not removed prior to washing, the rug can often look dirty again very quickly. This is called 'wicking' and is caused by the dirt and dust in the foundation moving up the clean top section of the pile making the cleaning results short lasting.
Little-Persia only use the highest quality wool-safe oriental carpet shampoo, cleaning products and materials, specifically designed for high quality wool and natural dyes. Removing colour run from a careless wash is difficult and costly (if even possible), so it is best to get it right the first time.

In general we accept payment after the cleaning of your rug has been completed, although we do occasionally request a deposit to start the work. Please refer to our terms for further information.
